Neonatologist

Idaho Falls... where recreational activities abound

We have a great opportunity for a BC/BE neonatologist to join our existing group of neonatologists and NNPs in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

• The candidate would primarily be based in Idaho Falls at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center which has a state-of-the-art 28-bed Level-IIIB NICU with an ADC of 18
• The Medical Center has an estimated 1,500 births with approximately 300 NICU admissions annually
• The unit is also designated as a regional neonatal referral center for eastern Idaho, southern Montana, and western Wyoming
• A dedicated neonatal transport team, via ground, fixed wing and rotor provide coverage of an area of approximately 20,000 square miles
• Neonatologists provide call from home
• NNP coverage is 24 hours with collaboration strongly engendered in the team
• Services offered include HFOV, inhaled nitric oxide and therapeutic hypothermia
• Active members in the Vermont Oxford Network. Evidence based medicine and outcomes drive our care
• Pediatric sub-specialty support available at the Medical Center include: Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology and Heme/Onc with aggressive plans at continued expansion
• Daily multidisciplinary rounds contribute to an extremely cohesive and positive work environment
• Ongoing research activities available
• Teaching opportunities are available as periodic medical student rotations occur
• A balance of work:family ratio is important with emphasis on team building and expansion of services while providing state-of-the-art care
• The group also has a team based in in Pocatello, Idaho that provide coverage at Portneuf Medical Center; a new state-of-the-art 16-bed Level IIIA NICU with an estimated 1,200 births and approximately 240 NICU admissions annually
• In addition, neonatologists provide consultative services to the 14-bed Level-IIB NICU at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho
